Privacy Policy

NiteView (niteview.polsia.app) is a live nightlife preview platform operated by Polsia. This policy explains what data we collect when you use NiteView, how we use it, and your rights.

NiteView is an 18+ platform. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

1. Data We Collect

Age Verification

When you first visit NiteView, we ask for your date of birth to verify you are 18 or older. Your date of birth is used only to perform this check and is not stored on our servers. We set a session cookie (nv_age_ok) that remembers your verification for 30 days so you don't need to re-enter it. This cookie contains no personal information — only a "yes" flag.

Analytics and Page Views

We record page views on our server to understand how the app is used. For each visit we may store:

• The page URL visited
• A one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address (the original IP is never stored)
• Referring URL
• UTM campaign parameters (if present in the URL)
• Timestamp of the visit

Because we hash IP addresses before storage, this data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Behavioral Events

We track anonymized in-app events to improve the product, including: age gate pass/fail, stream play, live toggle (venue admins only), contact form submissions, and CTA clicks. These are tied to hashed IPs, not personal accounts.

Live Chat Messages

If you participate in live chat on a venue's stream page, your chat messages (including the name you enter) are stored and visible to the venue's admin and other chat participants. Do not include personal information in chat messages.

Contact / Partnership Inquiries

If you submit a partnership inquiry via the contact form, your name, email, and message are sent to NiteView's inbox (niteview@polsia.app). We use this only to respond to your inquiry.

2. Cookies

We use one first-party cookie:

• nv_age_ok — Set when you pass the age gate. Value: yes. Duration: 30 days. Purpose: skip the age verification screen on return visits. HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site trackers.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Operate and improve the NiteView service
• Understand usage patterns and popular venues
• Respond to partnership and support inquiries
• Debug errors and monitor service health

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties. Full stop.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. We may share aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (e.g., "venue X had 500 stream views last week") with venue partners, but this data cannot identify you.

We use Render (hosting), Neon (database), and Postmark (email) as infrastructure providers. These services may process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies. All data is stored in the United States.

5. Data Retention

• Age gate cookie: expires after 30 days in your browser
• Page view records: retained for 12 months, then deleted
• Event records: retained for 12 months, then deleted
• Chat messages: retained while the venue is active; venue admins can delete messages at any time
• Contact form submissions: retained in our email inbox; deleted upon request

6. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personally identifiable information from general visitors (only hashed IPs), most standard data access/deletion requests do not apply. For users who submitted a contact form or chat messages:

• Email niteview@polsia.app to request deletion of your chat messages or contact inquiry
• Use our account deletion form for full account and data removal (Google Play compliance)
• We will process requests within 30 days

If you are a California resident, you have rights under CCPA. We do not sell personal information, so the opt-out right does not apply. For other CCPA requests, contact us below.

7. Children's Privacy

NiteView is strictly for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that a user is under 18, we delete any associated data immediately. If you believe a minor has used NiteView, contact us at niteview@polsia.app.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: HTTPS-only connections, hashed IP storage, and access-controlled databases. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of NiteView after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
